T. Lorraine Johnston

T. Lorraine Johnston, 89, died on June 11, 2007, in Fillmore, CA, with her daughter, Terilyn, by her side. She suffered with chronic congestive heart failure the last year of her life.

Lorri moved to Rainbow, CA, and opened a florist shop in Fallbrook in 1963. She and her friend Elaine Kevarford started Lorri Lane’s Florist. A florist shop remains in the same building today.

After several marriages, Lorri found the true love of her life, Murray Johnston. They were married in 1977. Prior to that, she cared for the four children of her third husband, along with her own five children. These “adopted” children refer to her as “Mom.”

Lorri is preceded in death by her husband, Murray Johnston, who died in 1996. She is survived by brother Bob and sister Ruby; children Richard, Janine, Bill, Michael and Terilyn; and “adopted” children Michael, Jay, Dianna and Tony.

Lorri brought joy and laughter to many. She was a true character whose mold has been broken. She reveled in singing, dancing, flowers, dogs and the company of those she loved. Her memory is inscribed indelibly in the hearts of her friends and relatives.

Those wishing to make donations in Lorri’s memory may send gifts to the Fallbrook Land Conservancy, PO Box 2701, Fallbrook, CA 92088-2701, or to the Angel Society, PO Box 1408, Fallbrook, CA 92088-1408.
