FALLBROOK — Just like in the popular TV show by the same name, Fallbrook Players wants to know “Are You the One That We Want?” So strap on your dancing shoes and get ready to belt out a tune as auditions for the most popular musical ever, “Grease,” are held August 20!
Actors and audiences alike will have a rollicking good time with this family-friendly version of “Grease.” Laugh at the hilarious teen antics while enjoying the same cool tunes and knockout dance numbers that made “Grease” a mega-hit!
“Grease” is being produced by Fallbrook Players and will play October 12-28 at the Mission Theater in Fallbrook.
Auditions are open to all actors ages 10 to 18. “We are producing a version of ‘Grease’ that was adapted for all audiences by the original creator of ‘Grease,’ Jim Jacobs,” said Connie Knox, president of Fallbrook Players. “It has the same great music, with a few lyrics changed to keep it a family show. We are looking for an older teen cast, as the choreography will be challenging and it is fun for teens to play feisty teens.”
Potential Dannys, Sandys and other cast members should bring a photo, sheet music or background CD, résumé and, of course, those dancing shoes! Auditions will be held at Live Oak Elementary School on August 20 from 5 to 9 p.m. Audition appointments and more information can be found at http://www.FallbrookPlayers.com or by calling (760) 723-6673.
