Wolf helps individuals work through difficulties, achieve success

Life can be quite hard at times. Fear caused by trauma, childhood wounds or relationships can be oppressive, disabling people from moving forward in life.

“It is really important to understand the hurts, wounds and pain that influence the different directions we take,” said Sally Wolf, PhD. “Working in the present and working with positive strengths can enable us to move forward.”

Wolf has been practicing in the field of psychology for more than 20 years, helping people of all ages achieve their goals and dreams and obtain and solidify satisfying relationships. By utilizing a combination of therapeutic counseling, coaching and stress reduction, she says her patients are able to work through painful mental barricades.

Wolf’s practice is unique in that she works with children as young as 2 all the way up to adulthood. There is no dividing therapy line for Wolf, as she sees a distinct connection in all phases of human life.

“For me, it harkens back to the entire human process that works very well with children and adults,” she said. “

want to know that you understand their pain; that you can connect with them; that you have a clear path that they can understand for their therapeutic process.” This therapeutic philosophy empowers patients to address their fears and concerns so they may move forward.

Wolf explained that patients of all ages yearn for a safe environment where they can be heard. “They want to know that you [the psychologist] have the strength to walk through the fire with them.” She stressed that it is very comforting for a patient to know that they are not alone.

Wolf believes that guided imagery is an important tool in achieving goals. When a patient soaks up visual imagery, they learn to understand the importance and realization of a particular goal and discover a way to attain it. This mental process can also alleviate the mental pain that has weighed them down.

“With visual imagery, a person can regulate where they want to go,” Wolf said.

Wolf’s award-winning “Path to Relaxation” CD was featured on CBS News and has been a wonderful tool for people of all ages. Her adeptness in guided imagery work has been a tremendous aid to children and adults who want to reduce stress and tension in their lives and fulfill their dreams and ambitions.

Wolf’s impressive accomplishments include being the recipient of the prestigious Crystal Apple Award for teaching excellence from KNBC NEWS, writing and producing documentaries for the Discovery Channel, winning awards for her work with Pyramid Films and being the author of a CD-ROM game, “Friendship Island,” for children with diabetes.

Wolf truly believes that her work is an expression of bridging communication and building self-esteem in others. “When I see people functioning, I know that what I’m doing is worthwhile,” she said.

Wolf is delighted to have recently opened her private practice in Fallbrook. Her office is located at 577 East Elder Street, Suite F. Her CD and other beneficial products are available by contacting her at (760) 695-7813 or at [email protected].
