Prosecutors will also cover the war on drugs in North County as well as gang violence in communities like Oceanside and Escondido. Participants will also learn about Internet crimes against children, corruption of public officials and the workings of the judicial system.

The North County Citizens Academy will be held Thursday, August 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Clarke Field House, located in the Student Union on the Cal State San Marcos campus at 333 South Twin Oaks Valley Road, San Marcos.
