Another bad case of the Mondays

Monday, your simplistic regurgitation of Fitzgerald’s description of the charges against Libby leave out a few of the facts – as usual. [“President Bush grants clemency for Libby,” Village News, Opinion, 7/12/07] Your liberally charged rhetoric is so typical it should be copyrighted.

After all the facts are reviewed, is it even possible to conceive Richard Armitage was the leaker? Maybe the fact that Libby is the Liberals’ pound of (Bush’s) flesh they have been so desperately after to once and for all tarnish his administration.

Because Fitzgerald was able to secure a perjury conviction means he is a very thorough and calculating prosecutor (good lawyer). I think Bush decided he was not going to let Libby become the sacrificial scapegoat for the Liberal agenda.

As far as Bush’s record on the death sentence during his governorship of Texas, I don’t know how you can state that he “sent 152 men and women to their deaths with little or no review of the facts in their cases.”

Another ugly regurgitation by you of the facts? Let me ask you something about unfair presidential pardons, clemencies and commutations: how is it that Bill Clinton, on the last day of his presidency, was able to thoroughly review 140 pardons he gave that day alone?
