Garden Club picnic coming

Does anyone think summertime livin’ is a little too easy? Anyone need a little jolt of Garden Club fraternization? Although there is no regular meeting in July or August, the club’s annual potluck picnic will be held Wednesday, August 1, at 4 p.m. in Live Oak Park.

Everyone is welcome to prepare a dish of picnic fare to serve six and bring a friend, too. Anyone growing tomatoes can polish up a few entries for Tomatomania. An informal judging – including Best Taste, Best Appearance, Most Abundant and whatever else comes to mind – is always a pleasant feature of the event.

The Fallbrook Garden Club is a member of National Garden Clubs, Inc., Pacific Region and is a Charter Member of California Garden Clubs, Inc., Palomar District.
