Birding hike offered Aug. 11

FALLBROOK — The Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve (SMER), located between Temecula and Fallbrook, will be holding its first-ever birding hike on Saturday, August 11, from 6 to 10 a.m. The tour will be led by a professional bird monitor who will help hikers identify birds by sight and sound. A SMER docent will also be on hand to orient hikers to the SMER environment, from natural history to research programs.

This hike requires moderate to strenuous physical activity. Bring good boots, water and your binoculars and join us for a morning of beautiful scenery and birds! A $10 donation is suggested to support our docent program.
