Moonlight Stage Productions presents 'West Side Story'

VISTA — To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its triumphant premiere on Broadway, Moonlight Stage Productions will present the ever-popular musical “West Side Story” as part of the 2007 Summer Season of Musicals. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” the story involves the love of two teenagers. Tony, a member of an all-white street gang, meets and falls for Maria, whose brother is the leader of a rival gang, with tragic results.

“West Side Story” runs August 15-26 and will be performed at the Moonlight Amphitheatre, located in Vista’s Brengle Terrace Park at 1200 Vale Terrace Drive.
