Sheffer graduates with honors from SDSU

Melissa Sheffer, a 2003 graduate of Fallbrook High, graduated Magna Cum Laude within her major of graphic design from San Diego State University on May 19. Sheffer’s accomplishments at SDSU include seven semesters on the Dean’s List, membership in four Honors Societies, Greek Scholar Recognition, Rho Lambda National Leadership Recognition Society for Sorority Women, SDSU Provost Scholarship Recipient and the University Honors Program. In addition to her academic achievements, Sheffer was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, where she served as president, administrative vice president and activities chairman.

On July 23, Sheffer began her career as assistant to the vice president of creative services at Universal Pictures in Universal City and has relocated to the Los Angeles area. Her department’s responsibilities include oversight of promotions, screenings, premieres and advertising for the films produced by Universal.

Melissa is the daughter of Lynn and Ron Sheffer of Fallbrook. She has a younger sister, Katie.
