Timothy N. Timm

The Lord welcomed Tim home on August 1, 2007, at 4 p.m. when he passed peacefully into God’s care and was embraced by His eternal love.

Tim was greatly blessed in this life by God’s grace with his service to Him. He dedicated his life and 40 years of serving as a teacher and later as a principal in the Lutheran School ministry. Tim touched and influenced thousands of lives and provided a wonderful example of what it means to be an instrument of God.

His battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma lasted 28 months, during which time he never lost hope for a “bright future of service to [his] Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” He was extremely grateful to all those who kept him in prayer and supported him during his trials over those long months.

The “Timothy N. Timm Lutheran School Scholarship Fund” has been established to assist a child with tuition at Zion Lutheran School in Fallbrook, CA. Donations are welcome. For more information, please e-mail http://[email protected].

Tim is survived by his mother Viola; his brother Michael and sister-in-law Michelle; nieces Cori Smalley, Cristi Connolly and Cay Boone; and nephews Scott Smalley and Mark Smalley. In addition, he will always remain Uncle Tim to his grandniece Erin and grandnephews Dennis, Tim and Michael. And, maybe even more importantly, he will always remain “Mr. Timm” to the hundreds and hundreds of children who were fortunate enough to also call him “teacher.”

Tim was born on April 14, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI. He was initially given the name Timothy Timm by his loving and always clever parents, Edward and Viola Timm. He had no middle name but every time his parents would take little Timothy on visits to other family members to proudly show off their first son, it would rain. It wasn’t long before Ed and Vi decided to give Timothy the middle name of Noah. Hence, the trademark initials TNT.

He loved his collection of over 500 toy trucks and other memorabilia and loved sharing that passion with others. Tim recently created a Web site for that purpose: http://www.tnttoytrucks.com. This Web site will be maintained as long as possible by those who loved him and appreciate all that he did to enrich our lives.
