Battle of the Bands set for Sept. 22

St. Peter’s Council for Christian Unity is sponsoring a musical competition on September 22 from noon to 7 p.m. It will be held at St. Peter’s Education Center Sports Field at 450 South Stage Coach Lane, Fallbrook. The event is open to all bands playing all types of music. Contestants must be between the ages of 13 and 19 and must submit a completed application by August 20.

A $500 first prize, $300 second prize and $200 third prize will be awarded. A $20 entry fee and completed waiver form must be returned by the selected bands. The competing bands will perform on September 22 in front of an audience for exactly 20 minutes each. A panel of judges will decide the winners.
