New Book Talk season begins Sept. 13

FALLBROOK — The first Book Talk of the 2007-08 season will be held Thursday, September 13, at 1:30 p.m. at the Fallbrook Public Utility District board room. The selected book is “1776” by David McCullough and the discussion will be led by Gloria Mattson.

Sponsored by Friends of the Fallbrook Library, the community book club meets the second Thursday of the month from September to June. The discussions are open to the public, no reservations are required and attendees need not be members of the Friends organization.

Other selections on this year’s schedule include “Northanger Abbey” by Jane Austen, “Three Cups of Tea” by Greg Mortenson and “Ender’s Game” by Orson Scott Card. Suggestions of books and volunteers to lead discussions are welcome. Call (760) 420-9957 for information.
