Rummage sale/shred day to raise funds for Boy Scouts

Boy Scout Troop #739 will hold its first annual rummage sale and shred day Saturday, August 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. There will be many gently used treasures for sale as well as a shredding truck donated by Rich Krause of Shred Force.

This is a good opportunity for members of the community to shred all those sensitive documents, CDs, old credit cards or anything else that may need complete shredding. The boys are asking for a donation of $10 per box (the size of a case of paper). The truck only holds 300 boxes so it is on a first-come, first-served basis.

This is the first major fundraiser for this fledgling troop and will hopefully go a long way in helping to pay for next year’s summer camp. For more information, please contact Wanda Reidmuller at (760) 717-2860.
