Hip hop dancers win Summer Talent Show

The Boys & Girls Clubs of North County held their annual Summer Talent Show on August 3 at the Ingold Unit.

“We had a great turnout,” said Lisa Ware, the club’s director of operations. “It is so fun to see all the members up on stage. The talent show had about 20 acts with performers ranging in age from 5 to 16.”

First place winners were Bacardi Iglesias, Charlie Salas and Jessica Salas, who wowed the crowd with their hip hop dance number.

Second place winners Jasmine Hernandez and Isabel Ordonez performed “Back Then in a Club,” an original rap written by Hernandez. The third place winner was Gensis Ozuna, who sang “I Will Survive.”
