A message to those who litter

Hey, you who throw trash as you pass

Through the roads in our beautiful town,

Give a thought to the rest who rise to the test

Removing your trash all around.

It’s all futile, it seems, when our roads and our streams

Refill with the litter you toss.

Give a care to your purse as the problem gets worse

And paying taxes puts you at a loss.

Think first. See that trash can just two feet away.

Don’t drop it to fall where it may.

Be thoughtful, responsible, a sensible citizen,

Take that extra step – dispose the right way.
