Fallbrook Republican Women to hear from Karla Downing

The Fallbrook Republican Women are pleased to have as their September speaker Karla Downing, who attended one of the first pro-family conferences in 1980.

Downing believes passionately in conservative principles. She found herself consistently frustrated with the misconceptions people had about the differences between the Democratic and Republican parties, resulting in her desire to speak on the topic of “Conservatism versus Liberalism: Does Philosophy Really Matter?”

Downing has served on the boards of several conservative pro-family organizations, including Arizona Eagle Forum and Arizona Concerned Women for America. In that capacity, she appeared on several radio and television programs. She is currently with the Americanism Chair for Pat Nixon Republican Women, Federated and was the Program Chair for 2001 through 2004.

Downing is also the author of three books and numerous articles, a speaker and the office manager for her family-owned construction business. She has three daughters and has been married for 28 years.

The Fallbrook Republican Women will meet on September 14 at Fallbrook Golf Club, 2757 Gird Road, at 9:30 a.m. For cost or to make reservations, contact Gloria Rowe at (760) 728-3875 or Judy Domercq at (760) 728-1888 or [email protected].
