Pop Warner holds family day at Live Oak Park

Live Oak Park was the venue for the first annual Pop Warner Family Fun Day. The event was an opportunity for families to get together and enjoy the park as well as meet teammates, coaches and others in the Pop Warner organization.

Kids enjoyed cooling off on a water slide brought in by Rick Livingston, the new equipment manager for Pop Warner. Don Lougee, Tate Young, Chuck Hoover and others grilled hot dogs and hamburgers all day for the crowd. Major Market was a great contributor to the event, donating 100 hot dogs and buns as well as a huge cake. Families also brought side dishes to share.

This year, the organization registered a whopping 370 kids to participate on nine football and six cheer and dance teams and is looking forward to a very busy season.
