Rainbow Valley Grange looking for new members

Rainbow Valley Grange is open to new members who would like to raise animals, participate in fairs, help in the community, learn leadership roles and a do a wide variety of crafts, cooking and anything the kids or adults would like to learn to do. The Grange serves children and adults between the ages of 5 and 105 and is very family-oriented.

The Grange was started in 1867 as the oldest and strongest farm organization in America. It led the way for 4-H and FFA and organized the first San Diego Fair in 1880.

Meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month at 4:30 p.m. for Junior Grangers and 5:30 p.m. for those 14 and older. Their next meeting will be on September 8 at 3 p.m. (this month only) at Rainbow Valley Grange Hall in Rainbow.

If interested, call Ingrid Dunckel at (760) 728-1698. The group is looking forward to another fun and exciting year and hope more people will join them.
