Sheriff's Appreciation Day to honor dozen

The Eighth Annual Sheriff’s Appreciation Day will take place on Thursday, September 13, at 5 p.m. at the Sheriff’s storefront in River Village (corner of SR-76 and Mission Road in Bonsall).

This event is to thank the Sheriff’s Department for their excellent services to the communities of Bonsall and Fallbrook. It is also a good time for the Sheriff’s Department to honor their own.

A complete barbecue for all those in attendance will be hosted by ABS Copy Center (Rebecca and James Eastom) and Isagenix (Tony Flores) at 5 p.m. Sheriff’s personnel and their families are all invited.

Bonsall Chamber will provide soda and ice cream. Residents are welcome to bring guests.

Jack-in-the-Box owner David Beshay and the Bonsall Chamber of Commerce will present a Jack-in-the-Box gift card to each of the Sheriff’s personnel.

The ceremony, under the direction of Lt. Alex Dominguez, will consist of a special tribute to each of the honorees with a certificate presented by each of the government agencies and local organizations.

Event honorees include deputies Daniel Perkins, Paul Lacroix, William J. McDaniel and Randy Wilkinson; Reserve Lieutenant Kenneth W. Pipes; Detective Jeff Lauhon; Senior Volunteer Patrol members Ed Hills, Fred Luevano and Richard Valverde; citizen volunteer Sharon Diffee; and two CHP officers.
