Contractor reels in 'really big fish'

Fallbrook residents Dennis Deuling, of D. Deuling Construction, and Lisa Sartorius recently enjoyed a family reunion in Ixtapa, Mexico. At one point, they and several other family members chartered a fishing boat and set out for the open waters.

After three hours of nothing but pervasive seasickness, the boat turned around and headed for shore. Trolling all the way back to the marina, it was about an hour out with land in sight when one big sailfish hit the line.

Sartorius and her daughter-in-law took turns battling the beast and, after more than an hour, Deuling hauled the fish aboard.

Deuling and Sartorius plan to have the fish – which measured nine feet long and weighed 120 pounds – mounted over the pool table in their Fallbrook residence.
