Dinner to raise funds for schoolhouse

The annual Fall Chicken Pot Pie Dinner sponsored by the Reche Community Club will take place on Saturday, September 29. This is the first fundraiser of the fiscal year in support of the old Fall-Brook one-room schoolhouse. Originally built in 1886, the school burned down and was rebuilt as it stands today in 1896.

The Reche Community Club members are all volunteers dedicated to the upkeep of the schoolhouse and its four acres of grounds. For years the community has eagerly attended this even in show of support for this historical building.

The menu consists of a chicken-stuffed pot pie, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans with tomatoes, coleslaw, rolls and delicious dessert pies. Lemonade and coffee are also included. Take-out dinners are available as well.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children under 12. Seating times are 4, 5 or 6 p.m. Please select your desired time at time of purchase.

Tickets may be obtained from any Reche Club member or by calling one of the following numbers: (760) 728-9790, (760) 728-3606 or (760) 728-1654. Major Market will have them as well.

Tickets bought in advance are specially appreciated, as it helps club members prepare for the evening.

Come out and enjoy a Saturday night meal at a Fallbrook treasure, the Old Fall-Brook school.
