Historic tall ships battle at Harbor Days

OCEANSIDE — The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, along with the Oceanside Harbor District, Cox Communications and Genentech, will present Harbor Days on September 15 and 16 at the Oceanside Harbor.

This year’s event features “Pirates Plunder in the Harbor,” complete with an explosive battle between land and sea, on Saturday and Sunday at 12 p.m. near the Jolly Roger.

Commanding much of the attention, two picturesque tall ships, the Californian and the Spirit of Dana Point, will also be available throughout the weekend for tours dockside as well as a paid two-hour ocean tour each evening from 5 to 7:30.
