Americana Music Series continues

Oceans Apart, Steve Colby and John Good, will perform Saturday, September 15, at 7:30 at the home of Ken and Phee Graydon (not at the Hilltop Center).

Colby’s first love is banjo, both tenor and five-string, followed by guitar, mandolin and Irish bouzouki. Raised in Columbus, his style evolved from the folk revival of the 1950s and 1960s to later embrace music of the British Isles and beyond.

Good was raised with the songs of coal miners in South Wales. He plays whistles, flute and Welsh bagpipes and doesn’t stray too far from Celtic culture and language, though his songs have broadened with time and geography.

Tickets can be bought at Major Market and the door. For location, directions and more information, call (760) 723-7255 or e-mail [email protected].

Dave Stamey will close the 2007 Fallbrook Americana Music Series season with his concert on October 20 at the Hilltop Center.
