MAJOR MARKET'S EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: September

“We pamper our clients. We’ll order anything for anyone anytime…” says Cindy Street, Meat Department associate and Employee of the Month for Major Market.

Cindy, a 16-year veteran, simply loves her customers. She knows many by name and certainly what they like to eat. “Major Market Meat Department is like an old-fashioned meat market. We cater to our people and they love it!”

Cindy says that customers care about taste: “They search us out because they know we have good meat that will satisfy their educated palates.”

A single mom, Cindy has two children, both in Fallbrook. Lacie, 22, works at the Boys & Girls Club, while Lance, 19, works on Camp Pendleton.

Cindy started part-time in the Major Market deli and then was asked to become a full-time employee. She says, “Major Market is a special place to work because of the people and the way we all are encouraged to be part of the community. And, we are always trying new things… new items, new ways to satisfy our customers and keep them happy.

Cindy noted that more and more customers are requesting specialty cuts of beef. “ They are knowledgeable and appreciative, too,” she says, “of our expertise and willingness to help.”
