New Paul Harris Fellows named by Rotary

Dick Erickson, Tom Anthony and Bill Walters were named Paul Harris Fellows by fellow Rotarian Connie Fish at a recent club meeting.

Making the awards of a Paul Harris pin, plaque and certificate was South African Rotarian Nick Phillips, a guest speaker at the meeting. Phillips spoke about the progress and the problems faced by his country.

A Rotarian becomes a Paul Harris Fellow by contributing $1,000 to the Rotary International Foundation, which uses the monies to improve the health, lives and wellbeing of people around the world. Such efforts include polio vaccine distribution to infants, providing schools and wells for depressed villages such as those in South Africa and student and teacher exchange programs.

Paul Harris was the founder of Rotary. For more information, visit http://www.rotary.org.
