Masons enjoy annual barbecue

Each September, the Fallbrook Masonic Lodge holds a barbecue for its members, Ladies of the Eastern Star and friends. The barbecue is held in the parking lot with tables and chairs under tents to provide for comfort from the hot sun.

Each year there are about 100 in attendance. Selected members perform the barbecuing of beef, pork and chicken. This is a most relaxing event with friends.

The Fallbrook Masonic Lodge is a very active with more than 100 members; 12 new members are currently in the process of becoming Master Masons.

The Masonic Lodge was first founded in England in 1725. Other organizations made up of Mason include the Scottish Rite and the Shriners. The Shriners operate 22 hospitals treating youth for free and the Scottish Rite operates 170 medical facilities treating youths for mentally related problems, all for free.
