Paintings preserve paradise, event offered Oct. 14

FALLBROOK — Local artist Jack Ragland is holding a solo show, “Preserving Paradise,” at the French Gallery. The exhibition opens Sunday, October 14, at 2 p.m. and runs through November 21 Sunday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Miss Fallbrook, Kate Derr, will be present at the opening from 2:30 to 3:30. Natasha Ragland at the keyboard and Randie Wilson on guitar will provide music. Jack and Marilee Ragland will perform at 3 p.m.

Everyone filling out a ticket selecting his or her favorite Ragland painting in the show will be eligible to win the drawing at the end of the show of a signed and numbered limited edition print.

The works in the exhibition range in size from 5”x7” oil studies to paintings 4’x6’ depicting areas around the Santa Margarita Ecological Preserve, close to the proposed gravel pit mine, as well as scenes from Jack’s travels in Europe (especially Tuscany), Alaska and Hawaii.
