AAUW meeting Oct. 13

The Fallbrook/Bonsall branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will have its first general meeting of the year featuring President Chris Young as speaker.

Young and Past President Sherry Ludwig attended the National Convention of AAUW in Phoenix and Young will report to the organization to explain the year’s goal, “Expanding a Legacy of Leadership,” and the focus on advancing equity for young girls and women through advocacy, education and research.

Members of AAUW who participate in the Fallbrook High School AVID (Advancement Via Individual Achievement) mentoring program are encouraged to bring their student(s) to the program, as it is directed toward them.

The public is invited to the meeting on Saturday, October 13, at 10 a.m. at the Fallbrook Public Utility District building, 990 East Mission Road.
