Fallbrook wins fourth consecutive cribbage match

The Fallbrook Senior Center cribbage players made it four wins in a row at the September 27 Senior Challenge Cribbage match. Fallbrook had 72 wins to Oceanside’s 68 wins.

Clarence Williams, pegging for Fallbrook, had the best score at the end of the match with six wins, including two skunks. He edged out Fallbrook’s Ed Wozniak, who also had six wins but only one skunk.

In third place was top Oceanside player Marty Hess with six wins without a skunk. He was followed by Tom Waterbury and Nicki Newvine, who each had five wins.

The $25 gift card donated by Albertsons on Marron Road in Oceanside was won by Pat Gaynor of Fallbrook.

Senior Cribbage Challenges are held on the fourth Thursday of each month and consist of seven games. The next match will be held October 25 in Vista. Play begins at 12:30 p.m.; those who would like lunch are asked to arrive by 11:30 a.m. All who enjoy cribbage are invited to join the fun.
