MoveOn.org is unpatriotic, short-sighted

In response to Jerry Sarnataro’s expression of MoveOn.org: how stupid can stupid get? For him to align himself with MoveOn.org, an organization attacking a defender of the Constitution which gives him the right to spew these inflated lies, is unconscionable and certainly un-American.

He boasts 3.3 million followers strong. I’ll trump him with 106 million who have considerable more patriotic intelligence.

Yes, intelligence. Read the documents. That the administration ignored the “Pleas from the world community,” as he states, is a bald-faced lie. There were over 12 UN resolutions against Saddam to curb his WMD arms pursuit.

It’s true, no WMDs were found, but the kitchens for making them were found and he used them. Did it ever occur to Jerry or anyone else adhering to this line of thinking that they were shipped to Syria or Iran? Obviously he lacks concern that a rogue state (terrorist) could drop a WMD in our backyard.

I do agree that the vast majority of Americans embrace peaceful negotiations. However, there comes a point in time when saying “no” to an out-of-control child isn’t enough and that child must be reined in with disciplinary time-out.

We all want our troops home safely, but to pull them out suddenly as embraced by MoveOn.org is counterproductive to containing terrorism to the Middle East. A retreat would provide a fertile bed for the cancer of terrorism to thrive and spread – yes, spread – worldwide.

The 9/11 attack on US soil is a small sample if Americans embrace the rhetoric of MoveOn.org. I strongly support the policy of fighting in their backyard, not mine.

Jerry recommends we contact our elected Congressional officials. Yes, we should. We should pressure them to address the issues of immigration, healthcare, welfare, border security, et cetera. They should not be ranting on the floor of the Senate (as Senator Reid has been doing), using taxpayers’ time berating a radio announcer over some grossly distorted comment.

As an American, I feel compelled to expose MoveOn.org’s subversive and unpatriotic positions and refute their shortsighted thinking.
