Veteran's Day to feature America's heroes

Because Veteran’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, there will be no parade. However, there will be a formal ceremony in the Town Square at Main and Alvarado at 11 a.m. on November 11.

Master of Ceremonies will be Commander Mitch Chandler of Fallbrook VFW Post 1924. Commander Ron Ritter (CHC), US Navy retired, will offer the invocation and benediction. Phyllis Bush of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary has organized patriotic music.

Fallbrook resident and WWII veteran John R. (Dick) Rossi will be the honored guest. All military families, especially the families of military serving overseas, are invited to attend. Everyone is invited to lunch following the ceremony at the VFW Post, 1175 Old Stage Road.
