Dinner to benefit Grangers who lost home in fire

RAINBOW — Rainbow Valley Grange is holding its annual Harvest Dinner on Saturday, November 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. The dinner will feature turkey and all the trimmings, but unlike past dinners, this one is being held as a fundraiser for fire victims including a Grange family.

Brendan and Rosalind Donoghue and their five children belong to Rainbow Valley Grange and Junior Grange. Their home was among those that burned down on Reche Road. The family lost everything except their seven pygmy goats, which miraculously survived the fire.

The Harvest Dinner will cost $8 for adults and $4 for children. Call-in orders for dinners to be picked up will be accepted at no extra charge. To place an order, call (760) 310-6500. All proceeds will go to the fire victims.

On the same day, Grange ladies will be holding a Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Homemade crafts will be available for early Christmas shopping.

The Grange Hall is located at 2160 Rainbow Valley Boulevard.
