NCL awards funds to local charities

FALLBROOK — The San Luis Rey Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. (NCL) has announced total donations of $9,761 to 12 local charitable and community service organizations.

In addition, $7,000 in scholarship money was granted to worthy local senior girls to attend a college of their choice and $1,600 was gifted to the Kids on the Block disability awareness program operated by NCL volunteers.

Monies donated are a direct result of the mothers and daughters of this organization making charitable donations and working fundraiser events, as well as the annual NCL-sponsored fundraiser held in the spring that is supported by chapter members, their families and the community’s businesses and citizens.

The money was distributed to:

• Casa de Amparo – $600
