Myers receives 'Best of Show' memory

FALLBROOK — Don Myers recently accepted an unusual award from Fallbrook Vintage Car Club’s Mike Johnson. Don and his wife, Jo, entered their 1955 Chevrolet Nomad in the car club’s 42nd Annual Vintage Car Show in May.

It is no surprise that their impeccable car won “Best of Show,” beating out nearly 300 other outstanding show vehicles for this most prestigious award.

In addition to the “Best of Show” award, this special presentation is a montage of pictures of some of the many cars in the show and is highlighted with a large blow-up picture of the Myers’ red Nomad in the center. Don said he will find a very prominent place to hang this surprise keepsake among his many other awards and memorabilia.

The upcoming 43rd Annual Fallbrook Vintage Car Show is changing its venue from Fallbrook High School, where it has been since its beginning, to Potter Junior High School. The new location will allow the show to expand and will be an excellent venue.

The club is anticipating about 330 cars for this upcoming Memorial Day show. Entry forms can be obtained at http://www.fallbrookvintagecarclub.com.
