Church youth surpass 'One Ton Challenge' goal

The Fallbrook Presbyterian Church Youth Group recently embarked on a “One Ton Challenge” to collect both perishable and nonperishable food to assist clients of Fallbrook Food Pantry. They surpassed their goal with tremendous success.

The youth group collected a generous amount of donations which enabled them to purchase one and one-half tons of fresh produce. This was followed up with a food drive netting 4,000 pounds of canned food.

This is a great help to the Food Pantry, especially at this busy holiday season when supplies often run low.

The commitment and generosity of Fallbrook Presbyterian and other local churches, businesses, organizations and individuals united to relieve hunger and insecurity for qualifying clients. Most of the individuals benefiting from its services are growing children in the local area.
