Budweiser Clydesdales, 'Tin Lizzies' in Christmas Parade

The fabulous Budweiser Clydesdales, the Shriners’ “Tin Lizzies” and Ronald McDonald will be in the 26th Annual Fallbrook Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce, on December 1.

The parade, which will begin at 5 p.m., will feature multiple bands, including the United States Marine Corps Marching Band as the lead musical unit and Fallbrook’s own Warrior Marching Band.

The theme of this year’s parade is “Hometown Memories” with racing legend Dode Martin, a resident of Fallbrook since 1926, serving as Grand Marshal.

After being forced to cancel last year due to inclement weather in the Sierras, where they were filming a Super Bowl commercial, the Budweiser Clydesdales will finally make their appearance and will arrive in town early (in three truckloads) that Saturday so families can visit them at Beech Street and South Mission (on the school district property).

Because the parade usually features between 100 and 150 entries, volunteers are needed with tasks including putting out barricades, directing visitors and working in the information booth at Carl’s Jr.

Sponsors are also needed. The names of the sponsors will be featured in the Parade Guide, which will be published in local newspapers a few days prior to the parade.

For more information on volunteering or being a sponsor, call Carol at the Chamber at (760) 728-5845.
