Live Oak students benefit from Academy's fundraiser

FALLBROOK — On November 8, Live Oak Elementary Principal Lillian Perez and Assistant Principal Stephanie Martinez visited the Albert Einstein Academies in San Diego.

Principal Jeanette Vaughn and her students at Albert Einstein decided the week of the wildfires that they would find a school they could adopt and help students who lost their homes begin to rebuild their memories.

Albert Einstein Academy is an International Baccalaureate School that focuses on humanitarian projects such as helping others in need.

Four families at Live Oak Elementary lost their homes and Albert Einstein Academy was able to raise $1,700, which they turned into Target gift cards so that each child could buy new toys, books and clothes.

Live Oak Elementary hopes to form a bond with their new friends at Albert Einstein by having their student councils join in efforts to help other communities.

The students and staff from Live Oak said they are eternally grateful for the Albert Einstein students and their kindness.
