Thrift shop to enter Christmas Parade

Volunteers from St. John’s Thrift Shop are diligently working on their float for the Fallbrook December 1 Christmas Parade.

Continuing the shop’s celebration of 50 years of service to the community, the Parade Committee, chaired by Jayne Bendel, reports they have a flatbed trailer and truck provided by Bill Yankie of St. John’s Anglican Church.

In addition, Ellie Medeiros is coordinating the decorations. Nancy Lyle, donations chairwoman from the board of directors, is contacting various local agencies who have been financially supported by the shop to ride on the float with their individual organization’s placards.

The entry in this year’s Christmas Parade is a first for the shop.
