Harlan Resch

Harlan Resch, 67, of Hereford, TX, passed away on November 13, 2007, after a very short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Celebration of life services were held on November 16 at the First Assembly of God Church in Hereford. Interment followed at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Hereford.

Harlan was born on September 10, 1940, in Van Buren, AR, the son of Richard and Marie Resch. Harlan and Mary Ann (Elliott) began their journey through life May 22, 1959. After a few years of marriage they moved to the eastern New Mexico and west Texas areas. In 2002, Harlan was Hereford’s “Father of the Year.” Harlan retired after many years as a minister and print shop manager for the Hereford ISD.

Harlan is survived by his wife Mary Ann, Hereford; son Rick Resch and wife Cheryl, Hereford; daughters Debbie Wait and husband John, Dimmitt, TX, and Deana Grissom and husband Billy, Fallbrook, CA; mother Marie Resch, Ft. Smith, AR; brother Nelson Resch and wife Paula, Greenwood, AR; sister Frances Nevels and husband Lloyd, Van Buren; four grandsons; two granddaughters; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Harlan was preceded in death by his father, Richard Resch, in 1978 and his mother-in-law, Dean Elliott, in 2004.
