Ina Mae Chandler

Ina Mae Chandler recently passed away peacefully at the age of 81 in Hemet, CA. She had survived 22 months after suffering a massive stroke on January 3, 2006.

After being in a coma for two weeks following the stroke, she spontaneously awoke and described to her son Daniel a “journey” she had been on in which the Lord had spoken to her and told her to persevere and prevail against the forces of opportunism, cowardice, greed and deceit, which she had been victimized by for several years. Her mission was accomplished on October 22, 2007, and six days later, she allowed herself to rest and be at peace.

She lived according to the principles and values which she felt were most important: respect and dignity toward the elderly, vulnerable, disabled and disadvantaged. She was and will always remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She has inspired many others with her courage and determination.

Ina was born and raised in Montevideo, MN, and was a longtime resident of Fallbrook, CA. For nearly 15 years, she owned a successful flower shop, Ina’s Flowers. She retired to Anza, CA, and for more than 20 years was active in many church and community groups, including the Anza Historical Society.

She is survived by daughter Kathleen of Glen Rock, PA, and son Daniel and granddaughter Bonnie of Santa Rosa, CA. She is at rest at the Masonic Cemetery in Fallbrook. Private services have been held.

A donation may be made in her name to your favorite charity.

Daniel would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Hemet Valley Medical Center and Devonshire Care Home for the excellent and loving care she received. She was always cheerful and so appreciated the care she received at the hands of these angels. God rest her soul.

Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements.
