Ingrid Davis

Ingrid Davis, 63, passed away November 17, 2007, in La Jolla, CA. She was born February 13, 1944, in Ruttenschied, Germany. Ingrid was initially raised in Germany by her grandmother along with her youngest aunts, Marta and Almut, essentially as siblings.

In the mid-1950s when she was 11, Ingrid joined her mother and her new stepfather, Ernst Zimmerman, in the Los Angeles area. Later, both Marta and Almut joined Ingrid in America; her grandmother eventually followed. While Ingrid was still a child, her family grew with the addition of two sisters, Linda and Ramona.

In 1963, during her first marriage, Ingrid had a son, Lance.

Ingrid was married a second time in 1967 to Tom Davis. This marriage flourished for more than 40 years until she passed away.

Ingrid and Tom lived and worked in the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita Valley areas of southern California until both retired in 1999. After retiring, Ingrid and Tom built their current home in Fallbrook, where they moved in 2001.

Ingrid is survived by her husband; son; two sisters; two “almost-sibling” aunts; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives as well as many, many friends.

She will be missed by all.

A memorial service celebrating Ingrid’s life will be held December 1 at 11 a.m. on the lawn at Tom and Ingrid’s home, 4202 La Canada Road, Fallbrook. All family, friends and neighbors are cordially invited to attend.
