Hallmark Communities offers rebuilding seminars

SAN DIEGO — San Diego-based Hallmark Communities will host three seminars on “The Rebuilding Process – What You Should Consider” next month for persons who lost their homes in the firestorms of October.

The 90-minute seminars will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Rancho Bernardo, 17240 Bernardo Center Drive, beginning at 6 p.m. on December 4, 11 and 18. Reservations for the seminars may be made by calling (858) 558-3310.

“In the aftermath of the 2003 Cedar fires, we formed a special division which rebuilt homes for more than 50 families in the region,” said Hallmark Communities president Mike Hall. “We want to share with the families displaced by the recent fires the lessons that we learned from 2003, ranging from advice on dealing with their insurance companies to the easy-to-overlook issues that can become expensive surprises to rebuilding families.”

In addition, Hallmark will provide participants with “How to Rebuild” information kits and will have experts available to answer questions.

Hall noted that the company’s dedicated Rebuilding 2007 team already is working with affected homeowners to provide preliminary needs assessments and lot analyses that are vital to processing adequate insurance settlements. The analyses, free of obligation, can be scheduled by calling Hallmark Communities at (760) 640-1803 or by visiting http://www.hallmarkcommunities.com and clicking on the “contact us” link.

Hallmark Communities’ Rebuilding 2007 team has approximately 30 ready-to-build floor plans, ranging from about 1,600 to 4,500 square feet, for people to choose from. The company can also rebuild homes using original plans, if available.

Expansion and customization are possible depending upon lot size and configurations relative to the footprint of a selected plan and municipal regulations. Upgrades are also possible. Another alternative is to have one of Hallmark Communities’ team member architects design a brand new custom home of the resident’s choice.
