Thanks for printing David Meyer’s letter, “Thinking before speaking prevents arrogance” [November 15].

I really appreciated the opportunity to have a good laugh. If I hadn’t seen some of his previous efforts, I would have believed he was just putting us on.

Thinking before speaking (or writing) is always a good idea; I wonder why he didn’t think of trying it himself? Offhand I’d say, when it comes to advice, he’s full of it.

Most of his letter is opinion. I have no problem with that. But the claim that Hillary Clinton is a blackmailer is a very serious allegation. Any credible writer would have cited a source for that claim. That’s a practice that Meyers should consider in future letters.
