Kiwanis gains two new members

On November 14, the Kiwanis Club of Fallbrook inducted new members Laura Choate and Nancy Foster.

Choate – whose husband, Mike, is a past club treasurer and president – has been actively volunteering in the club for many years, attending fundraisers and service projects.

She retired last year from the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District, where she was a teacher for more than 30 years. She also is a math consultant providing training for teachers.

Foster is the new assistant principal at La Paloma Elementary School in the Fallbrook district. She and her husband live in Carlsbad.

Before becoming an administrator, Foster was an elementary teacher for more than 20 years. She is actively working with the students at La Paloma developing service projects and hopes to charter a new K-Kids Club this year.
