Thanks to all who helped others during the fire

I understand that Debbie Ramsey did “yeo-wo-man’s” work during our evacuation days by manning the computer to keep residents abreast of the local situation.

Not having access to a computer while we were away from our home, I wanted to recognize those at the Chamber of Commerce who were our personal lifelines to this precious village: namely Phil Delaney, Linda Costello and Carol Eastman, with whom I spoke several times.

With other volunteers they were there from early morning until midnight, patient and understanding of our plight of ignorance, and able to tell us exactly what was happening.

We are among the fortunate who had homes that were saved and we are so happy to be back, especially in time for the Christmas Parade.

Thank you, all who helped others during this trying time. You know who you are and you can be proud of your efforts.
