Dorothy Pauline McAllister of Fallbrook, CA, passed away December 12, 2007, after a long illness due to a heart condition. She lived in Fallbrook for the past five years and fell in love with her neighbors and this beautiful little town.

Born Dorothy Pauline Metro, she was the third daughter of Joseph and Irene Metro of Youngstown, OH. Dorothy grew up in Youngstown and attended school there with her sisters Virginia, Margaret and Josephine.

The beautiful blue-eyed Dorothy met the dashing Edward T. Krazel Sr. in Youngstown and soon married and started a family. Together they had eight children, five girls and three boys.

In 1957 Dorothy and her family moved to Southern California, where they established their home in Buena Park. The family belonged to St. Pius V Roman Catholic Church in Buena Park, where they made many lifelong friends. Dorothy raised her children there and was a loving mother and friend to all.

Dorothy loved her children and grandchildren, music, sewing, her friends, church activities, cooking and bingo (and other games of chance). She was noted for her warm outgoing personality and willingness to help wherever she could. Those who loved her will miss her kindness, strength and caring nature.

Dorothy is survived by her sisters Virginia Hvizgyak, Barden, OH, and Margie Maruschak, Youngstown; children Edward T. Krazel Jr., Elk Grove, CA, Barbara Mroz, Fallbrook, Monica Whitfield, Douglas, KS, Denise Frankhart, Perris, CA, Maryellen McCracken, Whittier, CA, David Krazel, Bremerton, WA, Donna Zenesky, Redlands, CA, and Thomas Krazel, Fullerton, CA; and grandchildren Michel James Mroz, Fallbrook, Jesse James Cipala, St. Paul, MN, and Jamie and Andrew J. Whitfield, Douglas. She was preceded in death by her husband, George McAllister, of Las Vegas, NV.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. December 22, 2007, at Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary, 333 North Vine Street. Arrangements were handled by Berry-Bell and Hall.
