FAMS concert season starts Jan. 19

The eighth season of the Fallbrook Americana Music Series begins next month. The calendar includes:

• January 19 – 7:30 p.m. – Tim Flannery and Friends at the Mission Theater, 231 North Main. Former Padre Flannery sings and plays simply from the heart. Tickets available at Mission Theater Box Office, Major Market and the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-seated.

• January 24 – 7:30 p.m. – Sid Hausman, a cowboy storyteller, singer and banjo and bones player, performs at a private home. Tickets will be sold at the door.

• February 16 – 7:30 p.m. – “Swing West” with David Dekker and Friends playing an eclectic blend of vintage and western swing, folk, blues, country and an occasional cowboy tune at the Fallbrook Woman’s Club, corner of South Mission and East Mission. Tickets at Major Market and the door.

• March 14 – Juan Duprey and “Soneros del Caribe,” a trio of Puerto Rican descents specializing in the music of Cuba, entertain with their Latin sounds and tell about the instruments and rhythms in a concert/workshop setting. Cuban hors d’oeuvres will be available. Held at Fallbrook Woman’s Club. Tickets available at Major Market and the door.
