Dancing for a cause

Fallbrook students raised money by doing something they love to do… dance.

Recently, the students put on a benefit dance to raise money for victims of the 2007 wildfires. All proceeds will go directly to the Legacy Foundation’s Fallbrook Firestorm Relief Fund.

Well over 200 students showed up and more than $1,000 was raised.

Event coordinator Jacob Jones, who, along with ASB student council, came up with the idea, was impressed with the turnout.

“It’s inspiring to see students give a night of their weekend to help others,” he said.

Students who participated were treated with a great show put on by well-known DJ “Dizzy D,” who donated his services for the cause.
