Loyalty and trust are the goal at West Coast Truck

West Coast Truck can easily be described as a quality, gently-used truck and car lot.

When driving past the lot, located on South Mission Avenue, gleaming vehicles attract your attention, particularly the attractive Porsche and BMW European models.

West Coast knows their automobiles. “Ray, my partner, has been in the business for 25 years,” said Robert Gaska, vice president.

Gaska says he enjoys this business because he it is exciting to see what each day brings. “Every day is different; every customer is different.”

The services provided by West Coast Truck include attractive options for financing and vehicles that are competitively priced. “We try and keep those prices right for our customers,” said Gaska.

According to Gaska, their business offers the standard 30-day warranty on its vehicles and also other extended warranty selections. “We like to carry cars in here that are still under factory warranty.”

All the automobiles and trucks must pass a 100-point inspection and have a CARFAX report. “A CARFAX gives the history of a vehicle.”

In other words, a CARFAX vehicle history report is extremely important for the buyer of a used car. It provides detailed information on title check, odometer check, registration check and problem check.

The problem check report can pull out information on whether or not a vehicle was in an accident(s), stolen or damaged.

“The CARFAX report is handed over to the customer,” said Gaska.

The inspection, warranty and CARFAX report give both West Coast and its clientele peace of mind.

The vehicles on the lot, explained Gaska, typically come from trade-ins and auctions.

“We have nothing but good, quality vehicles here,” declared Gaska. “The quality and variety that we have on this lot really sets us apart from the others and that’s what we want for our consumers.”

And if someone walks onto the lot and cannot find the automobile or truck they were looking for, West Coast can find it for them, usually at an auction. “The auctions we go to are mainly in Riverside, Oceanside, San Diego and Anaheim.”

The diversity of vehicles ranges from high-line models, sports utility vehicles and trucks.

“Lifted trucks are the best sellers right now. Marines really like these trucks, so we are getting some naval-based business here,” said Gaska. “We are always here to help the military out and give them a discount.”

West Coast also welcomes the opportunity to do consignments. “We check out the vehicle, and we give [customers] a Blue Book price and give them an idea of what we can sell it for,” said Gaska. “We usually take a small percentage of the net price.”

The mission for West Coast Truck is to make certain that every customer walks away with a great experience.

“We want to be sure that [customers] got a good deal and they were comfortable with our business,” said Gaska. “We want to build friendships with our clients. Loyalty is what it’s all about.”
