Victims' advocates needed

The Women’s Resource Center is looking for advocates. Each volunteer must be over the age of 18, have a strong desire to assist clients and be willing to commit six months.

Each volunteer will attend training comprised of 69.25 hours of sexual assault and domestic violence topics. He or she will then receive a state certificate in crisis intervention, sexual assault and domestic violence response team advocacy.

After certification, volunteers will be qualified to work the following positions: hotline response, sexual assault response team, domestic violence response team and shelter volunteer.
